How often is one afforded the opportunity to have a concrete lunch? To add to this blog I ended up with a non flushing toilet so maybe it was an omen to have a concrete lunch. Lets not forget that I have not long came from Portland in Oregon, the home of cement. Even in Australia people are familiar with Portland cement. Therefore being offered the opportunity to partake of a Concrete lunch on the way North to Canada seemed an unusual opportunity not to be missed.

However before lunch I had the opportunity to again catch up with Mr David Russell, David is a well known, famous?, motorcycle stunt rider based in Australia but has performed in the UK and is currently in the US looking to break into that market. David i do mean break as in getting employment not your well known feats of having broken many of of his bones often more then once. Well like you David read my blog from the Boeing visit and realised I was only some 30 minutes from his location in the US so a 4.45am call to my sister in Australia, poor Sister has my Australian phone number whiile I am away using my International number so telling David my new number he contacted me and then our contact went silent. No contact the rest of that evening nor where my three calls answered (good man David was at Church and had his phone on silent!) So fearing no contact I packed the Indian and headed out of Seattle enjoying the extra traffic generated by their Pride celebrations (not really just added problems with closed roads people walking down the roadway etc. Dont these people want to be accepted as normal? Yet they go out of their way to create disruption and disobey laws! In the slow moving traffic I heard my phone ringing in my jacket but could not pull over to answer. It rang again so I figured it was either important or a tele marketer. Seeing the road half blocked and a parking officer sitting in the closed lane I took the chance to park behind him. He started to get out looked at me getting the phone out and retreated to his air conditioned SUV. Well if you haven't guessed by now on the other end was David. He told me his address which i punched into Tom Tom and bingo it was found and only 31minutes away. I immediately changed my plans and headed out to Bothell to meet up. Well I arrived and sent David a SMS after I had lunch at Five Guys ( a hamburger chain I had not used before and was not impressed so maybe one less place to revisit) Well in typical David time he replied still 30 minutes away so I went to the address and waited then still waiting I moved the Indian into the shade and saw David coming down the road. Just arrived he said, well No David just had cooked lunch just decided not to cook myself as well.

So David has for the last 7 weeks of his 12 week visa been in a battle with the US Department of Homeland Security and US Customs seeking his applied for work visa and release of his stunt equipment from Seattle wharf where it is accumulating $175 per day storage charges. I booked a motel in the area and David took me and my luggage and then I introdiced him to the Denny chain of food eating stores. The next day we again got together and discussed items like the Fake News that the majority of the US Media is involved in. That includes the ABC,NBC,Washington Times, New York Times networks and papers who have 97% of their "news" being anti Trump . The CNN is openly called the Clinton News Network as it is so pro Clinton Foundation and anti Trump that totally false news about Trump is put out eg after the shooting of a US congressman it had a lead story that Donald did not even make a statement whereas in reality he actually visited the hospital personally speaking with the injured. CNN later retracted but without any fanfare, in a similiar manner they have every anti Trump story since his election.

So farewelling David I headed towards Canada but with the purpose of criss crosing the Casade Mountain Range as it has a great reputation amongst the motorcycling riders.

In order to stick to the small routes I even traversed some dirt (unpaved) roads (sorry Greg wont happened if you are with me) however I was rewarded with great mountain scenery and expanses of pine forests. Their presence was so intense that as well as the visual aspect I could take in the pine aroma as i road for kms past great forests. The area is also a major producer of pine frames for the housing industry and dry wall materials. The roads while single lane are shared with many timber trucks hauling the cut logs to many processing plants where the finished products are often shipped out by rail.
