Colleen & Tom's Explorations
What an interesting day today. We went up to La Terrazza for brekky and ate out on the terrace. Cheryl and Graham came along and chatted. Then we returned to our suite to start packing. It's so sad. It took ages to get into it, bit finally I was getting somewhere. Our butler offered to do it for us but we declined. It's better to know where everything is, especially with all my little capsules that I use. We ventured down for lunch just after 12, and had a wonderful meal. As we were finishing our coffee, Noelene and Gary wandered over, sat down and continued drinking champagne at our table while we chatted. They invited us to join them in la Terrazza for dinner. Tom declined, saying that we wanted to see Alain to give him an envelope with a tip for his awesome service. Then Cheryl and Graham wandered over. They'd never met Gary and Noelene, but they pulled up chairs too so we all sat and chatted until 3.30 or so!!! It transpired that they were on a mission to invite us to dinner at la Terrazza as well, so we organised to have all of seated on a table for 8 (because Jane and Joe were coming too) and went to Noelene and Garry's room to let them know. Then we just had time for a quick nap before trivia. At trivia we had only two questions wrong - both of which we knew initially but then changed our minds (one changed by that stupid stupid Californian). So we came second. But we had fun. After trivia we had time to change for dinner before the pre-dinner show. It was a wonderful show with lots of songs from les mis. After the show finished the captain appeared and brought on as much of the various branches of crew as possible. And then they played a slideshow of moments of the cruise captured on camera, including us in the carriage with Noelene and Gary. We've never seen a cruise ship do a salute to the passengers before. Then it was time to go up to dinner. Tom ducked down and gave Alain the envelope. We had a wonderful meal and finally left the restaurant at about 10.30!! We had to get our luggage out by 11! As we were leaving Alain magically appeared, which was lovely.
