Left home towards Africa on 1st day of the new decade and this time for three months. A lot of new things to follow yet a lot of old friends to meet up with along the way. The flight via Frankfurt to Jozi was rather smooth, especially after spending the connection time in the Business lounge ;) Not too keen on Lufthansa's lack of personal screens on the Jozi route though. Arriving in Jozi for the billionth time was almost like returning home after a long absence...

Last bit of the travels completed, time to return back to work and reality on Monday. Circle has closed, last few hours in Dubai.. Spent a wicked birthday having sushi and sashimi that I'd been craving for, for about the last six weeks, topped with strawberry mousse cake. Dressed up fancy to hit the Burj and had cocktails at the most lavish and world's only 7-star hotel ;) Lots of photo evidence will follow. Somehow managed to return to the hotel only 5:20 AM and...

Long road behind me once again. The day before yesterday said goodbyes again and as usual when leaving loved ones behind, it got emotional. Luckily my flight from George to Jozi was delayed and got some extra time with friends. Miss u guys :( Got to Jozi and slept overnight at a backpacker's only to wake up to fly to Doha in the morning. Been a good few days despite being on antibiotics and feeling physically exhausted half the time. Adopted KitKat, a darling flufball and the only female cub in her litter. Been seeing friends, feeding cubs, cooking healthy greens (!) and eating out for dirt cheap. Been relaxing! Took a little day trip to Wilderness beach with good company and found myself a dress fr my bday at Burj-al-Arab :) Good job girl! Just like the shopping I did today, it's totally saving ...

Been to Oudtshoorn since friday and had a good chill. Met old friends, both human and furry ones. The six new cheetah cubs have stolen my heart already and probably will not be getting it back anytime soon. Thinkin about adopting one of them, precious little thigs. Been dying to get some exercise but caught something on the way here and have spent five days being physically exhausted.
