Hello folks,

Sorry for not updating for a while, we are now in Argentina! Stayed a few days in salta which was basically quite a big dirty city, with good steak, and Harry joined us!! After a hideous 36 hour journey he made it into salta airport demanding steak and wine, which were duly provided.
We left for cafeyate on a day trip which incorporated all of the stunning natural scenery along the way and sights such as the Devil's throat (former waterfall now a huge sheer rock face) and the amphitheater- where you can stand in a naturally created amphitheater rock formation and shout for echoes! And a rock shaped like a frog, of course.

Cafeyate is simply wonderful, surrounded by vineyards and beautiful scenery. The weather is super hot so midday we're hiding in shade (except for yesterday when Harry got us cycling up 5k hills to get to more vineyards) the cycle was hellish but the view from the top was simply stunning. - picture attached..

We've visited many different vineyards and particularly enjoyed the local speciality wine- torrentes. It smells like dessert wine but tastes dry and fruity at the same time, and is an excellent price in these parts!!

Today we're going to catch a bus to Tucaman to then catch an overnight bus to Mendoza- lots of travelling but harry's brought me some good books and we wake up in beautiful Mendoza!!
