Hi.....fellow board watchers. I heard from Natty and Hungry Hodge the other day and I have booked Hodge into Charlie B's hostel in Christchurch next week prior to her return to the UK. Also had a text and email from natty today telling me about the great time they are all having on various islands in Fiji. Super activities and experiences at rock bottom prices. Sea and surf also excellent although they have been living with a cockerel that doesn't seem to know that he should only crow at dawn and keeps cockledoodledooing althrough the night apparently....... ahh well you cant have everything. I suppose they could always ring its neck and cook it........ Will keep you informed as I hear from them ..... email facilities are few and far between and expensive and reception is not always available for texts.

Mauz..... it must be at least 40 years since I was in Whitley Bay and from what I recall it is not the place for a southerner (even one with Geordie roots) to venture at this time of year. So much as I'd like to drop in I think I will wait until the summer. :-)

Have you heard from them since landing in Fiji - I received a text message saying they had arrived safely and were still deciding which island to visit. Nothing since then - they are clearly snorkelling somewhere out of reach or just being aloof......either could be the case.
