Myself Steve and Liam went down to the beach near Numana yesterday for a swim. The water was glorious, clear blue Adriatic sea and small waves, Liam had a ball jumping the waves. Had a bit of drama yesterday. Steve and I had to take Norma to A&E at Sora Hospital, great way to learn how to use the GPS and see if the Italian map works, we had to ask a few directions along the way but finally got there in pretty good time. Waited 7 hrs while she had tests & investigations, then they wanted to admit her. We decided it would be better if we headed to Recanati as we had planned due to all the medico's in the family they could assist us....

Rob headed off on his journey home today, catching the train to Rome, staying overnight and catching up with his cousin in Rome. He flies out early Monday morning. Got to Florence mid morning with a breeze blowing, finally maybe the hot weather is leaving us, I hope!! Managed to book into the hotel early so we could head off to see some sights. A copy of Michealangelo's David is in a nice park with picturesque views of the city. Like most Italian cities you come across some amazing and bizarre monuments while wondering around the streets. OMG Venice is amazing. It had been described to me as "having a surprise around every corner" and it is very accurate. Buildings are tall, alley ways narrow with many corners, it is like walking through a maze. Day one we caught a ferry along the grand canal, great way to view Venice, and hopped off at San Marco.
