Hi! I will be starting my project on Monday 31st December so I have a few days holiday until them. Most of the projects are closed this week because the ex-pats want to celebrate Christmas. The school is about 40km (about 1 hour by motorbike) from Siem Reap in a former Khmer Rouge stronghold, where there are over 1000 children and only one school! Hello Well I arrived in Siem Reap at 10am on Christmas Day. The flights were fine and as usual I didn't sleep, so felt rather exhausted after travelling for 15 hours, only to find that I had to work as soon as I got here (xmas party for the children). Registered with the project and shown where I'll be staying. It's ok. Clean, with no creepy 8-legged visitors, but there's no hot water and they discourage you from using the air conditioning.
