After two early starts in El Chalten, we sleep in again. We have a late breakfast and check out of dorm room, which given it's the off season; we've had to ourselves for our entire stay. We spend the day chilling in the big open loft of the hostel, doing journal entries, postcards etc. Our bus picks us up at 5.30pm and by 6pm we are on the road back to El Calafate. We stare out at the scenery passing by, getting one last look for now, as this part of Argentina ...

In El Calafate we are up early and walk to the bus station where we trade our bus voucher for tickets and change our return tickets for an open return. Our bus fills up and leaves at 8am. I can't believe the bus is full and it's the off season down in this part of the world! We get up early, pack our bags and have breakfast. We had a dorm mate join us on our last night. We are leaving the hostel by 9am and get a bus to the main bus terminal with our bus driver showing us where we get off and can get a bus to the airport from. At the bus terminal we get cama seats to Iguacu for the 30th, the same day as our flight back to Buenos Aires, to save us having to spend a night in Buenos Aires. We arrive into Buenos Aires around 10.30am, pretty much on time! In the bus station we hunt down the offices of Via Barochile, as we've had a couple of recommendations from friends for them. We pick up their timetable for buses and prices to Iguazu and then find local bus number 50, to get to our hostel, Estacion Hostel. We arrive into Estacion Hostel at 11am and fill in the paperwork that gets shoved at us. We are then told that because we have arrived at 11.20...

...There are just a couple of stops overnight from Cordoba to Mendoza, and the lights are left off so it is easier to drop straight back off to sleep each time.
