Having gone to bed at 5.30am, I allowed myself a lie in until midday, when I forced myself to get up. I was feeling a bit delicate but I've had worse hangovers. I went to join the others on the pier, ordering a banana and coconut shake on the way to be brought to me at my sunbed. I carried on reading the beach on my kindle and just relaxed.
After a while Vix, Vick, Keith and I went for some lunch at Big Fish, where we had dinner last night. I had pad Thai, which was really nice but I did keep thinking about returning to my sunbed! When I got back, Hayley and Katie said they were going to the infinity pool, which belongs to the Ko Tao resort and overlooks the sea. I brought my kindle with me and ended up staying in the pool for four hours! Vicky joined me as well and we watched the sunset, not getting out of the pool until after 7pm. It is so nice having a bit of luxury!
I showered and headed for dinner after speaking to my sister on the phone for a bit. We ate at our hotel overlooking the beach. I had some very expensive (£5) but very tasty chicken enchiladas. After dinner we strolled around the bay where there are loads of chilled out bars with fairy lights and cushions instead of chairs. We ended up at the very last bar in the bay, which reminded me of a tiki bar type thing. There were torches in the sand and a man doing fire poi. There was also a cool tree type thing with four hammocks hanging from it in a circle, with tables in the middle, really chilled out.
We sat on cushions at a table built into a rock and ordered apple flavour shisha. I don't smoke but I've had shisha a couple of times before so I had a few goes on it but not many. I asked Vicky to take a picture of me, so she moved the shisha thing to get it into a picture, misjudged the size of the table and it fell over! Luckily George and I who were in the firing line managed to dodge the glowing molasses! It was funny though!
I was quite tired so I headed back at
11ish, and Vix joined me. On the way back we both walked into a volleyball net which we couldn't see. It was really scary and I thought I was going to have a rope burn on my face but luckily I didn't!
Back in the room I spoke to Ed for a bit because I haven't called him for a while. I'm not sure if it was a good idea because I ended up just getting upset and feeling homesick even though I had been fine all day!
