We were rudely awoken this morning by a man using a jackhammer in our car park. The others got up but I was determined to have a lie in so I put on my ear plugs and put my eye mask on and tried to get back to sleep. I couldn't properly sleep again, but half an hour later when I took my mask off, the others had disappeared (it turns out they had gone to the YHA). We got up and headed to the YHA to do our laundry and have a shower, before booking our ferry to the South Island. When we woke up this morning in Colin the Campervan it was so cold that we could see our breath. I had to snuggle with my clothes under my quilt for a bit until they were warm enough to put on! After breakfast we drove down the road to have a quick look at Huka Falls. They are really cool, the water is so blue and frothy and rages like rapids to the bottom which just looks like foam. I did a bungy jump today!!! Before I left I said I'd never do one so I am quite proud of myself for doing it. I would have liked to skydive but it costs a lot more than bungy jumping (I suppose you need to pay for a plane and a parachute as opposed to a piece of elastic), so I decided I should pluck up the courage to do something 'extreme' whilst I'm in New Zealand. We woke up at 9.30ish to a sunny day in Rotorua. After breakfast Vicky went off to church and Sophie and Hannah went to the hostel opposite to use the internet.
