I'm in Paris!
Ed and I got the 10.55am Eurostar this morning which got into Paris just before 2pm French time. We found our hotel, but the room wasn't ready so we went for lunch at a cute little bistro near the Luxembourg Gardens. I had French onion soup which I love so I was happy.
We then went back to the hotel, which is really nice. It's all quaint and French and it smells nice which is a bonus.
This afternoon/evening we did a whistlestop tour of some of the main French attractions (see the photo album for evidence). We went to the Eiffel Tower, the Arc du Triomphe, the Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame. We walked back from the Notre Dame looking for a restaurant, and then realised we were back at the hotel, so we are in quite a good location. We then found a restaurant near the hotel for dinner. It was really busy and rustic, the atmosphere was really good. I feel rather quite fat now but it was very nice!
HOWEVER...I've had a minor disaster, in that I realised whilst on an escalator at Charles-de-Gaulle Etoile station (ie. not in England), that I have left my birth certificate at home. I need this tomorrow, along with my passport, so I am worrying quite a lot that I may be sent home as soon as I arrive. My dad has faxed the casting director a copy of it, and I've also emailed him a very good colour scan, so I am praying that this will suffice!
I got a bit teary last night when it hit me that I won't properly be at home until next Summer, but I soon pulled myself together as I have always wanted to work at Disney, and then I get to go gallivanting around the world on a massive holiday, so I shouldn't be too upset. I will miss Ed and my friends and family a lot though - please don't forget me!
First day tomorrow - hopefully I'll be able to update you in the evening!
Aghhh!!
