Finally made it to Cambodia, after various bus rides from Bangkok and a slightly nervous border entry for our tour guide (recent turmoil between the two countries means border crossing on the Thailand side was pretty nerving for him) but we got through and arrived at our, eerrmm very basic hotel, large insects included. The first day in Siem Reap started at 4.45am!!!! Headed to Ankor Wat to see sunrise at the temple but due to the monsoon season wasn't too great....

Helllllooooo from Bangkok....well I've been here just over 24 hours and can honestly say travelling alone is a lot more dawnting than I imagined. Just getting used to settling in, meeting new people and the foreign language is taking a bit of work but I meet with my trip tonight and have already met a couple of aussy girls who are on it too. They're both really sweet and have lots of advice which has been really helpful. Went to Ko San Road for my first night ...
