Today's leg of the journey took us through lots of vineyards, through the border back into France over the Rhine river and on towards Metz to Pont-a-Mousson on the banks of the Moselle river. Our hotel was in an old Abbaye and the room was enormous!! It was very dark and spooky going along the corridors to find our room as all the lights along the way were on sensors, which took a while to come on! We walked into town to have a look around and thought everywhere felt as though it was shut, so we had a quick beer and then went for a walk before eating early in one of the few restaurants we found open, before returning to the hotel.
