Sungnyemun or Namdaemun was a historic gate located in the heart of Seoul. The landmark is officially called Sungnyemun (literally 'Gate of Respecting Propriety'). This photo was taken on Saturday 9 Feb, just over 24 hours before a fire begun, which destroyed this historic gate. As Garry privately joked, it has now become intangible asset no.1, too !!
