Great to see the BA lounge at Heathrow using Craig's gold card. After some rather tasty food and several champagnes we boarded and started our flight. Lots of white wine helped pass the time and by the end of the flight we were on first name terms with most of the staff! Arrived at the hotel, dumped our bags and set off to explore the city centre. Incredible how the weather can change here within a few hours. Its been rotating between galeforce winds, hale and something rather unusual - sunshine!

Awhile since I have trod the backpacker road and have been slowly removing unessential items such as the kitchen sink to get it down to a sensible weight. Happy with 11Kg and now just sorting out the more fun tasks - music, blogging, mankini colour. I will be flying from Glasgow on Tuesday and will meet up with Craig in London before heading to Singapore
