Arrived this afternoon at Giovanni's home. Already becoming a favourite hostel, Giovanni is super nice and had made some pumpkin risotto for lunch which was hands down the best risotto I've ever had. He also gave us a wealth of knowledge about Napoli and so we headed out to the Archeology Museum which was cool. Now we are headed out to Gino's to get some pizza. Today we tried to get up early so we could get into the colosseum without queuing for ages. But that didn't happen so ended up queuing for about 45 mins. It was still good inside and awesome to look around, Rome has a fascinating history, Shane we are not spending longer here really. It was raining for most of the day but that didn't stop us walking across the city. We went to Vatican City and saw a lot of the sights including the Trevi fountain and Circus Maximu...

Arrived in Rome yesterday afternoon, getting to know the Italians pretty well now. We went for a walk into the city and of course had to see the colosseum (best picture I got - the other half is covered in scaffolding). Rained quite a bit but no thunder and lightning.

We thought we were going for a nice walk in the rain and then the thunder and lightning showed up! Got drenched, but Florence architecturally is very nice even in the rain.
