We enjoyed a bit of a sleep-in today and got up to some rain, thunder and lightning. Although the thermometer said it was cooler today, it was very humid so it still felt uncomfortable.
After a lovely breakfast at the 'Glass House' restaurant and a stroll around Gescher, we drove into Holland again to visit the quaint town of Bredevoort. Perfect little houses, on perfect little streets, lots of bookstores, an idyllic park and a windmill. Before heading back to Gescher, we stopped for a cold drink at the Middle Ages restaurant - very cool!
In the evening we drove to nearby Ramsdorf to visit Rod's cousin, Andreas, Beatte and Jacqueline. We had a great visit and are looking forward to seeing them again at the family reunion in Limburg in just over a week.
Back in Gescher, we retired early so we could pack and get ready for an early start in the morning. It's amazing how spread-out your stuff can get in just 5 days!
