Ben has made a mini city from stones and cones. It is based upon a fictional city (Barsing Sai) and the Banff Bugs are making it their home.

It's hard to pinpoint what the highlight of today would be. Perhaps the triple rainbow over the mountains viewed from a magnificent lake. It's easy to part with money in Banff however, so eating instant mash and baked beans at the campsite in between activities is the way to go!

A bit longer driving in the Praries (they turned into cute mini-hills that looked like pregnant women with big boobs lying down everywhere - sort of low down but prominent bumps - which were covered in that mossy grass that looks like a carpet; I was half expecting to see a Dartmoor pony pop out. A hotel night! And this is the view from the room. Basically, the best way of getting a week and a half's worth of camping crud from you is a shock of chlorinated pool water in the form of a waterslide park, where you are repeatedly pounding at speed into the cleanliness. That and the ability to have a hot bath mean we are squeaky sparkling clean! And the kids had the best time ever on these huge slides that they must have descended a hundred times. Nice pit ...

Our super early wake up was rewarded by seeing a herd of huge Bison and their large nursing babies! We got back to the tent and once I had made brekkie, the heavens opened and I went back inside the inner sanctum of the tent to snuggle up with super snuggly Rosa in our double super snuggly sleeping bag, and we fell fast asleep...for the rest of the morning!
