hey everybody hows things? finally got back on the road again. woo hoo! on my final stretch now. :-( cant believe i leave oz 4 weeks today. so am now in melbourne. flew in here on thurs. as i finally got my tax money thru. bout bloody time. im staying in the beach suburb of st kilda. Melbourne is absolutely baltic. its meant to be the coldest winter in ages. havent really done anything that exciting here. im trying not to spend a lot of money, which is so hard as the shopping here is amazing.

have just been sight-seeing around st kilda and the city. went to federation sq and flinders st station. also went up the eureka sky tower to get great views over the city.

the highlight obviously is neighbours. i went on the trip on sat. which was so cheesy. but it had to be done. got in this neighbours bus whilst we had to sing along to really bad attempts at pop songs by the cast. n apparantly ole jason donovan is making a comeback. so we went to the street, called pin oak court, which is actually tiny in real life. and it is a proper residential street. the folk in the house all get paid, think enuf to actually give up work if they wanted. and they have 24hr 7 days a week security to make sure nobody harasses the folk who live there. so took loadsa pics and then we went to the studio but unfortunately we werent allowed in. gutted as i wanted to see lasiters n the coffee shop n all that jazz. after that we went to the high school that they use as erinsburgh high. again more cheesy photos. then we went to the elephant and wheelbarrow. which is the pub that they have neighbours night in. and i met janelle. felt like a bit of a prat so never got my pic taken with her. and i didnt go to the neighbours night to meet all the cast. they got one in sydney. might do it before i go home.

folk in my dorm are a lil crazy. half of them acually live here and on fri i had a very unpleasant experience where they guy in the bunk under me got laid. i was mortified. have never wished i could be deaf and paralysed in all my life. wanted to get up and say something but just couldnt think of what to say.i did dig him up the other day and he wasnt even embarrased. tramp is all i can say. who has sex in a dorm with another 7 other folk in the room?

today i went to the botanic gardens and saw the shrine of rememberance. and then i went to the museum of victoria where i saw the guggenheim exhibition. which was pretty cool. i like melbourne. its such a cool city full of culture. leaving on thurs morn to do an 18 day tour up thru the outback and eventually to darwin. first stop is great ocean road which im really looking forward to.
