Hi guys, seem you have had an exciting day in the caves. It might be something for a new Lord of the Ring movie? Understand you are soon at the south part of the north island. So you are soon "entering" Marlborough, north east of the south island. May I kindly ask you to have a stop here it`s a beautiful part of N.Z. Aware you are no wine drinkers but maybe you can make an exception and have a glas of the great wines (Sauvignon Blanc) from this reagion. If any further problems with other guests snoring, I fully agree with the advise made by Paul - have practised it many times during the military service.
Have fun and all the best

Hi guys
great to have you on the phone yesterda evening and to hear that you still love it down under. We still have a good winter season with temp. of -10 to -15 at nights and -7 during daytime with little snow and sunshine.
I've printed the document for the uni and shall send it off on Monday 13.2.2012 as the deadline is 15.02.2012.
If you ever meet snoring people again just whistle and normaly the stop immediately.......sometimes this proceedure has to be repeated.....
Enjoy your journey to the southern island lg+cu

Oscar, did I see you touching the fence in Hobbiton. Peter Jackson will not like you touching his movie props. =) Me and Anton also liked the "funky green voyager" but as you already experienced there is a lot of great hostels I NZ. If you´re going to Taurangi the hostel "Riverstone backpackers" were really nice and in New Plymouth "Seaspray" was great. I hope you will like the Waitomo caves. Maybe it's good for you guys to go underground with your red faces. Didn´t I warn you Oscar about the freakishly strong sun. I understand though, it's impossible to hide! ;-) It´s hard to believe that the sceneries will be even more impressive on the southern island but I can promise you, it will! But enjoy the northern island, it´s underrated. Have a great time in Kiwi land! I Wish I was there again instead of here!

Hello hobbits from sweden and the uk
Yes you are correct, we have much better weather than you have. every day approx. -10 to -12 and no rain and in addition we don't need a fridge anymore.....all vegetarian food is in the garden....
We still have an old pc in the cellar and I'm sure you will love to use it when you come home.....
enjoy your time

Sounds like you have finally encountered some success in NZ, Dominic. Drilling Oscar to eat vegetarian hamburger is a truly great achievement, which seemed impossible to me. Maybe you can also get him to give you a foot massage until you find a weak hobbit who you can steal. Be brave and train Oscar. When he comes back to visit us in Magden, I expect him to cook for me
Cheers Brothers!

We have some troubles uploading our photos at this piece of rubbish. We try to do it tomorrow when we arrive at another hostel. Be prepared...

Hellouuu,
sorry that our entries aren't that frequent, but it is quite expensive to hire a funny writer and a good photographer every day... We are almost broke, to say the least.
The Pc's we use are mostly slow and they eat our money like no ones business. 2$ for 30 mins. And 30 mins on the Computer feels like 5 mins... so do the math.
We try to keep you on track.
P.S. How much is the fish?

Hi there, seems like you enjoy the time down under - unfortunately we have (so far) never made it so far east...but as it looks like definitely worth the trip! We really much would like to swap your beach weather temperature with our Sibirean cold front - believe it or not people start ice fishing - so far to global warming... All the best and enjoy your road trip!
