Blog 44 From Georgetown to Ipoh and as usual we find ourselves 20km out of the city. But this time, instead of paying more for a bus, we hitch a ride off two lovely blokes that aren't even going our way, they just want to help us out. Into Ipoh we go, and after trying the amazing chicken bean sprout (it's what Ipoh is famous for and understandably so!) we're off to the Cameron highlands on the 6pm bus. Blog 43b A night in Georgetown also broke up the journey to the Cameron highlands (with the primary reason being to get some more tandoori, daal and naan from Kapitaans). Georgetown's mission was accomplished! Yum! Was also nice to be back to see the delites (colours and smells) of little India. Love Jo x

Blog 43a krabi En route to the Cameron highlands we broke up the journey by stopping for a night in krabi (with the primary reason being to taste some more night market food, in particularly the Thai fish cakes). Krabi's mission flopped. The fishcake lady no longer has a stall on the market. Lovely to taste everything else anyway. Love Jo x

Blog 42 A retreat from the beaches into the jungle. Directly east of our last island is the oldest evergreen rainforest in the world, Khao Sok national park. Hopeful to see a bit of Thai wildlife, and this place didn't disappoint. We were woken each morning to the sound of buzzing and clicking insects and the gibbons' morning chorus.
