well I've made it Bangkok-not my first time in Asia but it is my first time in Thailand. There are similarities with other cities I've visited in Asia-lots of noise, traffic and pollution. But there are good things too-friendly people, warm weather and colourful street stalls. I got to Bangkok early yesterday morning and spent most of my day in my hotel room as I was feeling a bit jet-lagged coming from Germany and not getting much sleep on the plane. Today I need to get my train tickets for my trip to Chiang Mai tomorrow but other than that I have a free day so I'll explore a little bit of this huge bustling city. Lots of love, Sonia
