Interlaken is another city in Switerland that is not spectacular on its own, but the mountains surrounding it are amazing. Interlaken is located in a valley between mountains on two sides and two lakes surround the other two sides. Bern was another relax day for us, we just casually walked the old part of the city. Bern is actually named after bears so they have a bear pit which is like their mini zoo. We also saw the most anticlimatic clock play ever, there was a huge crowd and everybody was videotaping and it lasted about 10 seconds and all that happened was a little wheel spun with bears on it. Luzern definitely made up for Zurich. We hiked a mountain (7000 ft) and it definitely had some of the most beautiful scenery I`ve ever seen. Maybe better than the rockies. Check out the pictures but I dont think they`ll do the moutains justice.

Zurich was probably our biggest disappointment, there`s not much to do for backpackers. Switzerlands strength is the alps and the mountains are not a factor in Zurich.
