To anyone who still cares about us... :) We made it into austria just fine. Munich was an absolute blast. We finally got a little meat in our diet after the pasta in italy, and we were able to endulge on a few beers (well, maybe more than a few!!). We spent one day on our bike tour through the town. The next day we went to the Dachau concentration camp. What a powerful and intense place. We were both taken back by what it held inside. The following day we had to spend recovering...ooops. We got a little crazy at the beer garden the night before. We really enjoyed the town and the people there though. Although its history is relatively dark, the city is beautiful and one of our favorite stops on the trip so far. We are now in Salzburg, Austria. Famous for being Mozarts birthplace and the filming site for Sound of Music. We rented bikes and saw Mozarts home and then climbed up to the top of the mountain where Europes largest fortress is (check this journals photo for reference.) We are going into the town after this for a music festival and to watch a few World Cup matches. Alright crew, thats about all for now... oh wait: Grandma, I found you a nice rock in the Alps. Pops, looks like well have to wait for the football draft. Jill, we are still being extra safe and wearing lots of sunscreen. Cass, enjoy your stay in Europe.
