This is the last day of our holiday. We have spent the last four days in Bentota and then travelled up to Colombo yesterday by train for the last night in the ozo hotel. This is like a premier hotel but to us it feels very luxurious! It has a rooftop bar and infinite pool overlooking the city. In 45 min we have to check out of this lovely villa and take the train to Bentota. The train should be 1:30 which seems so short now. My hair is getting very dry (salt, or local water or too frequent washing) so I bought some coconut oil last night and am applying it. It comes in a glass jar and I'm not sure how well it'll travel. On the last night of Ella we went to this rustic old cafe lodge for dinner. We both had a roti. Charlie's really enjoyed his Sri Lankan one. I had a mojito with ice from the tap.... ! There was a live singer who sang stand by me, wonderful tonight and follow me. After an hour he'd have a break and then repeat the same list.... But it was still good. We packed up our things, had a good sleep and woke early for the taxi ride. Unfortunately, I had a bit of a tummy...

Today was the best day of the trip so far. We woke up and had a delicious breakfast of fruit, banana pancakes and a Sri Lankan omelette. We both wanted to walk up Little Adam's Peak which is a similar shape to Adam's peak but smaller. Adam's peak was is a pilgrimage site where Muslims believe the footstep of Adam the first man is found. But Hindu's believe it is the footstep of Shiva... And yet it is a predominately Bhuddist religious site. Anyway we were heading...

We woke up early to catch the 8:40 train to Ella. We heard this was a busy train with hardly any seats and stunning views. It would take 7 hours so we were both keen to get a seat.
