Hey Son
Was just pondering how you were getting on. No doubt you have read the news and Bangkok took a turn for the worst the other day with the government troops firing indiscriminately according to the newspapers.
Ash cloud over here still causing problems, all flights from Belfast cancelled the other morning, added to which British Airways were having staff problems and had to cancel 700 flights, looks like you flew out at the right time, no way would I even consider booking a flight at the moment, the summer holidays are going to be interesting for a lot of people.
Interesting how cheap the travel is over there, I researched the cost of a train ticket for one adult and one child from Calais to Paris and it was almost 130 pounds travelling on the cheapest route in economy class, thats almost a weeks living costs for your and Nina even with travel. We certainly pay some enormous prices over here.
Keep living the dream Son
Nana

Hi Son
Love the Penang entry, I'm pretty sure I have been to that temple on the picture, although a lot of them do look quite similar. Sadly I spent more time looking for dodgy computer games and software than I did looking at temples.
Sounds like the trip across to Penang was far more interesting than a boat, although having spent many years running 6 miles a day through rice paddies to work they tend to pall a bit after a while :-) It is fascinating to think that something which is so central to a billion peoples diet is actually grown in muddy water and harvested by little old women in welly boots (if they are lucky)
