Arrived in Rio and rained for 2 days! That?s not supposed to happen. I found a great hostel 2 blocks from Copacabana beach. A group of us all went to the Rio cup semi final in the Marecana stadium on Saturday. We became Fluminense fans for the day and won on penalties 8-7. It was quite a game ant the Brazilian fans are absolutely bonkers but very friendly. However I was speaking on couple who had been to the previous game and got tear gassed by the police so maybe it just the Fluminense fans who are friendly. Been out to one of the local clubs here again they all start out to the clubs at about 1-2 am until 6-7am so the next day is a bit of a write off. I managed to get up in the afternoon and went hand gliding, supposedly with the South American champion, off one of the peaks in Rio landing down on the beach. The views were amazing and I got it all on a mini DVD. Headed up the Christ statue on top of Corcovado Mountain but unfortunately we got about 30 seconds amazing views and then the clouds came in. I will probably spend tomorrow on the beach before heading out of Rio. I wish I was staying longer though it?s a great city. The next update will be after the jungle, I hope the mosquitoes don?t bite too much. Bye
