We spent Christmas at my families house, John, Elaine, Jade, Chelsea, Josh, David, Bondzo and brooke. The Madlins. It was a mental house thats the best word to describe it. In a good way tho. It was so nice to actually have a decent conversation with my cousins without the fear of saying something wrong and getting my head bitten off by a short angry football playing PE teacher who has spent to much time with her boyfriend.

They live in a town called coloundra in a large 5 bedroom bungalow and a massive pool outside which was the scene of many David and Josh Vs Stuart drowning sessions. Its also 5mins away from some of the best beaches in Oz.

On the 1st night of arriving my cousins took me and Nic out for a Madlin/Ozy initiation process where we had to go hunting. It was pitch black and the only light we had was off Jades phone but we were told the prey we were after would find us so it didnt matter. We were armed with golf clubs and cricket bats and were ready to go.

We went out into a massive field just near the house. The only thing we were missing was war paint and spears but we were ready. We were walking into darkness where every slight touch of a branch or leaf on our heads made us think we were being attacked by a snake. Out of no where Little David and Josh the nutters that they are shouted out that they had what we were looking for. We ran over to them where we could see sitting on the floor the fattest and the spottiest toad you will ever see. It just sat there.....David and josh were arguing about who was going to have it until David ran towards it with his cricket bat saying its facing me its facing me and then hit it cleanly in the head with his bat. The noise was like a golf ball hitting a tree trunk before you see this toad fly through the air with its limbs spread like superman. Nic didnt agree with it and had a slight tear in her eye until she was told they were poisonous and killed dogs. She grabbed the bat and hit the next 1 so sweetly. i was a proud man.

Anyway we didnt just kill toads although it was a regular nightly hunt, we also went to the beach. All me cousins taught us how to body surf and jump off a hill into dark shallow water which could of killed us at anytime. We loved it.

Christmas and New years day we went to John and Elaines friends house just up the road. Good old Brendon and Kim who have a bloody bar which was Nics area for both occassions. We also went to the beach for champpers under the stars and played footy in Brendons garden - John was showing us his silky skills and did a hulk impression for us hehehe. We had such a good time a definately a Christmas and New year to remember.

We planned to stay for a week or so but stayed with the madders for 3 weeks. and had an amazing time drinking boxes of pure blonde in the garden and getting picked on by the kids. Oh how can i forget jades curries...Good girl.

We left there with an extra stone to carry after eating so much of Elaines expert cooking and being looked after so well.

We left on the 11th where we hired a car and bought loads of camping gear heading off into the land of snakes and bigbigbig spiders.....
