We have left for our few days away in South Australia. The hawks are playing and the pandas are the reason we are heading over as Marcus, whoops sorry Niamh is Panda mad!!
We headed off and it was smooth sailing in the new car. It took us about 4 hours to get to Horsham but with toilet stops, drink stops and whatever else, we did it in pretty good time all considering!!
Arrived at the sundowner a great place to crash on your way to SA. Niamh slept a few hours in the car so when we got the keys to the room she was full of beans! She danced, sang and told stories about anything that she could think of and then to our delight called it at night and thanked us for her new house!!!!???
So today we got up at half 7 had some breakfast and got back to it. Arrived in Boardertown for lunch and went to this cracking wee bakery that was like an old antique store. We had lunch and took a wonder around and saw the house bob hawk grew up in. (I can hear u all running for your car keys now, don't bother it's now a centrelink office!!!)
When we were kids we went on a family holiday to Hanhdorf a German settlement in the Adelaide Hills, I loved it and when we planned this I just had to go back. It was even better than I remembered. I love it and took a few shots but these are all from the iPhone and it really doesn't do the place justice! Marcus and Niamh loved it also and I have my eye on the most amazing Cuckoo Clock so that's a perfect excuse to go back?
Now we are relaxing in Adelaide, staying at the Stanford Plaza, just had a bit of a feed and chilling in our room as we have another huge day tomorrow!
Will pop the Panda photos on tomorrow so all grandparents can see and don't miss us too much.............;-)
