The Mekong Delta turned out to be a very interesting and cultural experience. Although quite a lot of travelling was involved, it was nonetheless good fun...(in a group of 11 people!) What was to be a 4hour bus journey quickly turned into 5 1/2 and furthermore the bus had been overbooked so 4 of us were prompty put onto another bus with less 'luxuries' per say - nonetheless on arrival within 30minutes of being in HCMC, we had already bumped into the remainder of the group again!! Such a massive city, yet everything is so close to eachother. With a group of 8 we were even luckier to manage to check into the same hotel especially considering it ...

So 7.30am monday morning we hopped onto the open-tour bus for another 5hour journey further down south. After our 12hour+ journeys of late this seemed rather short! The drive was incredibly picturesque as the further we went the more and more awesome the beaches starting looking...on arrival it was a great sight to see the sun shining and the water sparkling: pretty much the first we had encountered in Vietnam so far!! Well Nha Trang turned out to be one hell of a social time! Upon boarding the overnight bus from Hoi An to Nha Trang we bumped into a couple of people we had met on the Halong Bay cruise whilst in Hanoi, and they had picked up a bunch of new friends as well. So as per the backpackers tradition we exchange many stories and also learned a couple of interesting things... We learnt that a couple of Irish girls (also from Halong Bay) had been very aggressively assault...

After our hectic schedule of late, Hoi An turned into the place where we decided to have a breather and put our feet up for a while.
