Hi nick, really good to speak to you yesterday. We are nearly ready for xmas with presents starting to appear under the tree. Tonight we go to see Lord of the Rings 3. We watched the 2nd one again last week to get Roger up to date as he is coming with us. It was the extended version and I thought we were seeing bits I didn't remember. I am off work now until 2nd January which will be a really welcome break. Love mum.

Andy - AKA 'the off exploring guru'. an internet geek by trade and a world class screamer in newcastle. he enjoys, all non-exercise related activities, saving money, winding me up, cheap chocolate and gloves. recently had a baby, ahhhh.

Jane - a belly dancing building designer from liverpool. she enjoys breakfast in parks and on beaches, stories of far off lands, pstashio ice cream and art galleries and iron goats.

Alex - a designer for Nokia and held the job i am about to start before me in copanhagan. she enjoys pic-niks and runs along the beach, all physical activites and shares my passion for riding!

Kamil - My Polish phd comrade in newcastle. he enjoys social experiments, exotic holidays (he just got back from 6 weeks in south america), mountain biking, vodka and beating everyone at poker.

Sophie - a wizz with the kids at the discovery museum in newcastle. she enjoys walks and pubs in the middle of nowhere, hot-chocolate, cooking up a storm and zebras.

Claire AKA kiddo - a designer at the centre (where i used to go and sit at a desk now and again) in newcastle. she enjoys vodka, diving in greece, running (the great north run 6 times i think), walks along the beach and orginising social calenders.

Marrianne AKA maz - my sister currently working/training to be a achitectual landscape designer (no that doesn't mean gardener) in shefield. she enjoys lying in, hip hop, being silly (a little like me there). but what she wants for christmas is anyones guess any suggestions?

Nems AKA naomi - works as an all round design guru at Riders in Newcastle. she enjoys a bottle of wine or two, channel 5 friday night entertainment, cricket, kickboxing, Gladiator and annoy her and you may get a pan of water thrown over you!

Gruppy Paul AKA Barry - a lawer in newcastle. he enjoys beer, action films, chicken dippers (or is it nuggerts?). he is very good at making things espesially out of paper with the use of sissors and glue.

Sean AKA magic man - A photographic gunius who does a bit of this and a bit of that if you know what i mean. he enjoys crazy money making plans, sleeping in his car going to the casino and bribing people with doggy photos!!

Gorgous christmas elf - a fine honey form the land of snow. she enjoy teasing getting into tight spots and many other unpublishable things!

ok don't rub it in mr sun sand and skinny dipping!...Could you not have fitted us into your suitcase??... I'm still with the oldies, given up on house hunting till after the exams and prices in the Pool have gone up so much that I'll have to wait until my post qualification pay rise until I can hope to afford anything. i did get a surprise pay rise yesterday, back dated! I was really worried when the boss asked me to go to his office - thought he was going to tell me off for spending too much time on t'internet. Looking forward to 2 weeks off work - so that I can catch up on all that studying... fun fun fun!!! Had 1st paid gig in a Greek restaurant the other day - went well. Waitresses were snooty but the customers were brill and we had a good laugh. That's one costume paid off - just 5 more to go, plus the videos, music, foreign workshops... no chocolate cake here - we're on the mince pies and chocolate selection boxes... best get back Xx

Sounds like your doing it all, and no doubt there will be many more stories to come, new year has to be a good one for ya! HAve a few stories to tell you myself , though i dont think it`s a good idea to put them up here ( people are watching!!) so i'll email you direct. Take care mate and try not to get dressed up again during any parties, and if you do remember to remove the makeup prior to you going out for a slap up breafast the following day ( there is a story there and i have the pics to prove it!!). Sounds like you are having the type of holiday we expected you to, tell me why you would sit in the dark for a few hours when there is so much to DO and SEE (you know what i mean)?
I have been in York this weekend so I think the girls missed you and your special "bonding" sessions. Hope you packed your advent calander.
