I am home from probably one of the best weeks of my life thus far. This trip was such an experience and Rebecca and I are so thankful to be able to have to opportunity. We have met and shared laughter and stories with people from all over the world. Our tour group consisted of 24 young adults ranging from the ages of 19-31. The most special part of the group was that everyone was from somewhere different!
People were from:
Germany
Switzerland
Finland
Scotland
China
Malaysia
USA
France
Canada
Singapore
England
Everyone had different life stories and it was truly inspiring to see hear of all the possibilities life has to offer. Throughout the trip we went to many national parks were we hiked, rock repelled, swam, and enjoyed the beautiful sights. Famous areas such as Nature's Window, Shell Beach, Kalbarri National Park, Monkey Mia, Coral Bay, and Exmouth are just to name a few. In total we drove about 15 hours north, so we covered quite some ground in such a short about of time.
Each day we were up at the crack of dawn aka 6:00 am and hit the road for a new adventure. We stayed in what is really popular over here called Hostels. They are strictly rooms with multiple bunk beds, nothing else. Backpackers swarm to them like bees and honey because they are so cheap! Although it's not the Hilton it worked for the 6 nights.
One of my favorite activities was my swimming with the Manta Rays trip. We took a boat out to the middle of the Indian Ocean and spent the whole day snorkelling and swimming with all kinds of sea creatures. Fish, turtles, tiger sharks, and coral straight out of Finding Nemo. IT WAS AMAZING! The water is so warm and the colors were so bright! It was such a great time. I have posted lots of pics of our adventures to give you a glimpse of the things we saw and did during the week.
I really could on and on about the things we did but the most I got out of the trip was all the connections we have made. In particular there many of them in their twenties who went to school and then worked for a few years saved up and set off to travel the world. Some bought a world-wide ticket and began adventures in the US, then on Australia where we met them, then some were off to Bali, India, Thailand, or France or school back in AU. They all have lit the fire in me and I hope to be able to do that in my future. We were invited to come visit a group of them in March over spring break because by that time they will be back to Germany. Its hard to explain how you can make connections with people in such a short amount of time but I feel that everyone has a commonality of passion for travelling and so that is what makes it so exciting.
Upon returning home many of them had just one night left in Perth before they headed off to their next destination. So Rebecca and I hosted a visit to Freo. They came to our place and we walked around town, went to the beach, and then cooked our beef stroganoff special for them for our last dinner together. After dinner we all got together in the city and went out for one last night. It was an odd feeling saying good-bye. We had all spent 7 days together in such close courters you would think it would be time to disperse but we all wanted to hold on to the moment.
As you can see it was money well spent. I had a great experience and many memories to hold on too. Unfortunately all good things come to an end and now we are waiting for our next adventure. If all goes as planned we be seeing some of them in Europe soon.
I know you all are thinking how am I going to be able to pull it off because I probably won't have a dollar in my name by the time I get back but no worries I am going to be seeking to work work work and hope to save up again to have more adventures. After all I am becoming to learn now life is about creating opportunity and taking experiences.
Wish you all could be here with me to see and do all that I have been fortunate experience. Oh and now that I have made all of these friends and connections be prepared to have an influx of visitors in our Bay City home. Haha.
Love and Miss you all oh so much.

Aunt Anne Had a feeling this might happen. You will never be content to stay in Michigan so you better find the dream job and do all the traveling you can. Maybe you will be able to take Aunt Anne with you on one of your adventures. courters(quarters)
Aunt Anne Spectacular pictures...must have a nice camera. Reminds me of the National Parks in Utah (Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion). Your European friends will have to come to the US. Back to the books..only two months until the oldies arrive.
