After the east coast highlights of Fraser and Whitsundays we were quite ready to chill down the rest of Queensland. Airlie Beach is a really cool place that seems to be moulded for backpackers. We loved it. We got to the airport in Monterrey ready for our 2 day, 4 flight journey to Cairns in Oz and to ensure a great start the kind lady at the airport desk informs us actually our 9am flight had been moved 2 hours foward and we had missed it! oh dear.
