This morning we left Granada and headed to island ometepe which has 2 volcano and in the middle of lake Nicaragua. it's the largest lake in Central America, We traveled by private bus then local ferry! The ferry was packed to the max with people, motorbikes, food etc. the ferry took 1hr 1/2. Arrived out the hotel had amazing chicken soup for lunch a few beers and ended up in a food coma. Woke for sunset which was beautiful.

So today I was all geared up to ride a bike around the city then, climb the volcano for the night tour. It was canceled, devastated was an understatement. So I did the bike ride which was fun, but I discovered the realism of a socialist country, the poverty is so in your face! We left comayagua at 5am and we apparently have a 12 hrs drive ahead!

The epic bus trip finished at 3pm it was spitting rain but all of us were busting to get off the bus! We checked into our hotel and went to organise tomorrow actives, lee and I decided to do the night mayacna ( not the correct spelling) volcano tour which included caving in the lava tunnels. Today we left Routan at 12 to the head to comayagua a place we were just sleeping at! I had bad nightmares about people under the bed and pulling on my sheets trying to suffocate me! Poor Vic my room mate
