Hi Everyone again! Currently we are in Jinja, Uganda's seconde city, camping overlooking the souirce of the Nile, It's gorgeous! We were supposed to be white water rafting todsay but cant cos its xmas day we are doing it new years eve.

We have been having an amazing time, we left the hotel in Nairobi then travelled up to Nakuru national park, passing the Great Rift Valley en route...wow, what a place! It's enormous with huge mountains either side! We passed through the sprawl of Nairobi and eventually got to Nakuru via some hair-raising roads & thousands of peoiple just walking along them seemingly going nowhere!

Nakuru is a beautiful national park- its famous for its huge lake which is home to millions of flamingos. We camped in the park which was brilliant, we saw loads of animals, including 3 of the big 5 (lions, water buffalo and black rhino) - infact, we saw a water bufallo too close for comfort when we tried to visit the loo in the middle of the night!!!!!

We are now in Uganda- having passed throught the Great Rift Valley and camped at altitude in near the border in Kenya. Some of the scenes of poverty are shocking even if you come prepared for them, but the people are juist so happy and run out to wave at the truck when we drive past. Wentr for a jog the other day aswell and some kids came along with us for a bit! The children seem to be fascinated by us esp. in more remote areas, they are really cute!

Stayed at some cool campsites, the one we stayed it for xams eve is really nice and had a cool bar which we took full advantage of to see in xmas. Travelling with some cool people- brits, swedes, ozzies and kiwis. our guides rock aswell!!! Woke up on xmas day to extreme heat (which was strange!!) and to see the Nile cruising past- immense!! HAPPY XMAS to everyone, stay in touch.....Tomorrow we set off early for Kampala, Uganda's capital, then we are actually going to Rwanda to see the gorillas, apparantly that is where ouir visa is for...cannot wait for that!
