Palestinian Che Guvera befriended me under the olive tree, from what I gathered (with my limited Arabic) he grew up in a refugee camp close to where I work, so he was very touched that we were all there teaching in the camps. He is a soldier with Hamas, you can tell here in Palestine becuase red and white kafiyah's are the Hamas colours and black and white are Fatah. (Kafiyah is the traditional Palestinian head dress, made famous by Yassir Arafat, and they are a really strong symbol of Palestinian solidarity and identity).
