Wow! Can you believe the day has arrived! The nervous excitement is overwhelming. The next time I wake up, I will be in JAPAN!! We are on the train. Next stop...Wodonga! Haha

We have checked in...waved goodbye to our luggage as it tumbled along the conveyor belt. Made it through the security check, and then through customs. We are now wandering around Melbourne International Airport, waiting to board the plane. So much to see in this part of the airport. I sprayed Joshua with joop after shave, so he smells really nice, again :-)

Well, we got to Melbourne. The train trip was great. We had a bit of a wander around Southern Cross Station, had some lunch, and then made our way to the SkyBus terminal. It is supposed to take 20 minutes to get from SCS out to Tullamarine. It's been great having a bit of space while we get around, because I'm guessing there won't be a lot of personal space for the next 12 days.

We are currently on route to Singapore. The seats are laid out in a 3-3-3 configuration. It's great we all have just 2 people per set of 3 seats. Airline food isn't normally known for its appeal, but let me say...it was really quite yummy. Well, I just had a phone call from Sharon...we finally have our home-stay information. Joshua and I are staying together (phew!). We will be staying with the Yamasaki family. They have a 12 year old daughter who speaks English...woohoo!!! This time tomorrow we will have gone through all the security checks, we will be checked in, hoping that the next 1 hour and 15 minutes goes quick. Side note...still haven't finished packing :-|
