So today was pretty much spent travelling. Quick bit of shopping in the morning in New York, then off to JFK to fly to Los Angeles. Or so I thought. So I get to JFK, and all flights from there to LA had been cancelled or massively delayed, didn't quite understand why. Spent a lot of today having to re-pack everything - so much stuff! Did managed to fit in a little tour of Grand Central Station. I say little tour as I left after 20 mins - it was 1 1/2 hours long! Only so much you can learn about a train station. But it was a very nice building. Decided New York's actually ok as far as America goes. Today we went downtown (past the site of the World Trade Centres - very creepy), to catch the ferry to Ellis Island. Weather was not so good today - still just as freezing as ever, but overcast as well. The ferry went right past the Statue of Liberty, so got some nice photos, but would have been nicer on a sunny day like all the other days have been. So, today started off with a quick shop! Just popping into Saks on 5th Avenue. America is totally like Friends. There are all these perfume spraying people like Joey once did. Anyway, one of them today tried to interest me in some product she was selling, and it was only when I got closer I realised the advertising slogan was "better than botox" - it was some ageing cream! So today we went up to the top of the Rockefeller Centre. Quick look for celebs on the ice rink first, as they always seem to be pictured in Heat there, but none. They're hiding from me I swear! Eva Longaria is due to be there (well at the NBC studios which is in the Rockefeller Centre) on Thursday - the day I leave for LA. Gutted. Still, will be watching out for her at the airport.
