On all of the graves there was a picture of the deceased which, if you think about it, is a really great idea. It's so cool to be able to see all the people buried here without actually...seeing them. The graves all had flowers and some had statues of the pope and the Virgin Mary. A lot of them also had little ever burning candles that you could turn on and off (no kidding) with a light switch as they were actually just light bulbs. There were giant tombs too which were really spectacular. The graves go on and on and ON and ON as far as the eye can see. It wasn't really a sad experience so much as a quieting one. It was the only time on the trip that we were ever together and walking in total silence I'm pretty sure.
