Ah switzerland home of those handy little multi tools, Swiss cuckoo clocks and soaring mountain peaks.
Woke up and finally can have real north American coffee with one cream and 1/2 sugar, albeit instant coffee. Stepped out on the deck and it was a brisk 1 degree Celsius but sunny . Our villa is a studio apartment with a king bed, small couch, breakfast nook with all the appliances and a beautiful rain shower equipped water closet.....Gone euro with that one eh!
Anyway last night I fall asleep like normal before Dominique and vaguely remember the cat being in our villas. Okay Dominique is happy she has a cat she can pet. "Dominique is the cat in here". "Yes, hehe". That cat was on the couch cuddled beside her. Back to sleep I go......sometime later Dominique now being in bed. "Dominique is the cat on our bed?" "Yes, hehe". She has become officially (in my mind anyway) crazy cat lady.
After my coffee I walked down the mountain around 9:30 am and quickly realized this is Dominiques kinda town, as shops start to open at 9 am but most are closed till 10 or 11 am. I find a little nook and order up an "Americana" type coffee and a croissant to go for Dominique,,,,8:10 Swiss franks or 11-12 Canadian......wholly crap.
Back up the mountain I go to give Dominique her croissant and pass out from exhaustion
At around 1pm we walked down the mountain and found Zermatt to be beautiful little village with amazing scenery. I found a outdoor sausage cart and life was complete....Dominique had a crepe and was happy as could be. We are debating on wether to buy a cuckoo clock and have it shipped home or not....it would cost 100 cdn to ship home. Will ponder that.
AnywY in for the night and we will sit on the deck with wine, champagne and beer and savour the moment....that's my second new mantra "savour the moment". My first one is "ponder". You can get away with a lot of indecision if you say your pondering it.....I have a potential new third mantra but I am pondering whether to make it an official mantra.
Please can someone give uncle Bob a readers digest "word power" so he can figure out what mantra means
Take care
Harold.
Hello everyone, and happy thanksgiving, we miss being able to spend time with family and friends during this holiday but luckily we have FaceTime. Just wanted to mention that we received a phone call today telling us that my mom is in the hospital in intensive care. After having an exploratory knee procedure, she developed sepsis, the doctors seems to have that under control as it was caught early but she has a blood clot. At this point they haven't been able to locate it and are keeping a very close eye on her. It's a waiting game right now to see what develops with the whole situation. We'll keep you updated as to what our plans for the remainder of our vacation will be.

Alex Oh Mom and her cats. I can actually hear her going “yes, hehe!”
Chantal Tommi would be so jealous if he knew you were sleeping with another cat! Sounds like you're having an amazing time!
