San Diego: Mainly consisted of San Diego Zoo.
We were only here for a couple of days so decided the zoo would be the most fun, plus it is a very famous zoo and you can't go to San Diego and not experience it!
It was brilliant we got to our hotel in afternoon and headed to wendys for some lush dinner and had lots of giggles at the waitor there as he was a bit strange. We then met some guys in the lobby as we were leaving, they were from south america and couldnt speak a word of english but we managed to communicate with them. When we got back to our hotel we booked to go to san diego zoo the following day and were very excited. That night we walked to the shop and got some wine and beers, Nats beer was the size of her head and mine and chars wine was bigger than the eiffel tower and it was still really cheap :) happy days!!We got a reasonably early night in and woke up fresh and ready to see the animals.
San Diego Zoo was amazing. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, all types of monkeys one monkey was up against the glass so we could have photos with him and he kept making everyone laugh the rest weren't interested. We also saw the cutest pandas, and lions, tigers, hippos, warthogs, oxes, bears, penguins, koalas, kangaroos, flamingos, and loads more. One of my favourites was the polar bear, one was in the water eating a carrot and the other was curled up under a rock with a teddy bear, They were amazing to see so close up.
We went on an open top bus ride around the zoo, we saw a dog in the same cage as a lion;turns out they were good friends and we went on a skyline ride where we could see all over the park and other parts of San Diego. All in all we had a great day in San Diego Zoo, and when our shuttle from the hotel came to pick us up at 4 we were sad to leave. Driving back we could see more of San Diego and it looked like a beautiful place hopefully I will get a chance one day to go back and look around a bit more. That night we went to TGI Fridays and sat at the bar drinking beer like you see in the american films...San Diego was definitely worth a visit!
