Hello from Port Douglas!

We decided to do a two day trip up to Port Douglas, which is a little village north of Cairns. The "four mile beach" was amazing...golden sand, bright blue sea and lined with palm trees. The weather has improved a lot, and as we sunbathed on the beach little did we know how lobster like Megs was turning! Oh dear! We couldn't tell how hot it was because of the sea breeze...o well u live and learn!

Back in Cairns we went to an "Ultimate Party" night where 220 people went on a huuuge pub/club crawl. Everyone goes from place to place on a double decker bus with music blasting (Meg's mum - you were right..they drive around the block to the pub next door and no-one realises coz they're so drunk - they think they've driven miles!) Still, it was a good laugh though!

On Saturday we've booked to go snorkelling/diving in the great barrier reef..can't wait as long as the sharks steer clear of us! Apparently there are loads of turtles where we are going and we're determined to find Nemo! Also this evening, we are going to an open air cinema in the botanical gardens...slightly different to Bradford Cineworld we think!!!

We're off to New Zealand on Sunday..can't wait. Thanks so much for everyone's messages...they make us chuckle! hope evryones well.
