After a nice sleep in our Signoria Apartment we climbed the stairs down into the heart of Florence's historical area and the Piazza della Signoria. The evening before we went to sleep with very loud techno music belting out from the shop directly below our apartment. It was even louder than Harry.
Mum and Dad are not very impressed with the customer service of the Italians. Generally speaking they seem particularly disinterested, arrogant and unhelpful.
The morning was spent wandering around the gardens of the Giardino di Boboli.
After lunch James, Ben and Dad went to the duomo cathedral. We had a quick look inside at the magnificent paintings and stained glass windows and decided we wanted to climb the dome. We bought our tickets and started the long climb with over 250 steep and narrow steps. We arrived at the viewing platform which offered great views throughout the cathedral. We continued up the staris which where almost vertical as we reached the lookout right at the top of the dome. At the top of the dome there where magnificent views.
More Gelati, cappuccino and pasta.
