Awesome if short helicopter experience. We had a five minute flight over NE Essex. As the other passengers were dithering over who would sit up front I stepped in to make sure that Kathryn got that seat. It was so much more comfortable, and less frightening, than flying in a plane

The final part of Alan's plan for the weekend was to visit Angela's brother's family. We don't see them often enough! We had time to spare before that trip so went to the Black Country Living Museum. We spent some time in the pit, exploring the houses, shops and buildings before heading off to spend a lovely afternoon with family. It was a lovely way to end a brilliant weekend.

Our 22nd Wedding Anniversary We arrived at the World of Wedgwood early for our visit so went for a walk in the woodland (Hem Heath Wood) on their massive estate. The bluebells were putting in an amazing show for us as we had a stroll around. We were taken into the Tea Emporium for a welcome cup of tea/coffee and biscuits while we waited for our tour of the factory. We live 40 minutes from Cambridge so have visited there a number of times. Angela wanted to 'collect the set' of boat race Universities so she put Oxford onto our travel list. We had a rare day off so today was the day to visit. We were in Oxford in under 2 hours and our first stop was a lovely lunch surrounded by loud Italians. Satisfied, we set off to see the sights.
