hey all.

had the most amazing week in croatia. a typical day in the life of me for the week would be to leave the port where we were docked at around 7am (which is dangerous when u r getting home after the clubs close at 6). Breakfast was between 8-9 by which time i was fast asleep in my cabin. we would stop for 1 or 2 swim stops, jumping off the boat for usually between 1-2 hours then sunbaking on the deck to dry off. then travel a bit further during lunch at 1pm...consisting of 2 courses...usually soup and pasta or meat with veggies (amazing). we would then dock between 3-4pm at which time we would either do a guided tour or check out the town ourselves...or perhaps a few sneaky pints on board.

Then we would go out to dinner which would vary each night - pizza, pasta, seafood, meat at resteraunts. the food was amazing everywhere. I tried frogs legs and snails on separate nights. both were very nice...enjoyed the snails slightly more. After dinner we would either go to a cocktail bar for pre drinks or back to the boat for a few drinking games before we went out each night to 1 or 2 clubs. went clubbing in a cave which was used during the war as arms storage. it was right on the beach at makarska, did tequila boom booms at a club in Hvar (they put a war helmet on u then hit ur head 3 times [really quite hard] with a glass before u have to skull ur drink.

we made it to Hvar, Mjlet, Korcula, Omis, Makarska, Dubrovnik and Split. all were amazing and different in their respective elements so it is hard to identify a favourite. they say dubrovnik is the jewel od the adriatic and i can see y. we went cliff jumping there which was awesome. Our tour leader Andrea mentioned that having half guys and half girls (which we did) was quite strange. the ratio is usually 3/4 or more girls...last we her tour had 26 girls and 2 guys (one of which had a boyfriend) so i defs chose the wrong week! i guess i will just have to come back and try my luck again.

one last note...got off the ferry (from dubrovnik to Bari) in Italy. met a couple of girls from melbourne and shared a cab to the airport with the thought process that we could find a hotel nearby. Went into the airport to try find a place to stay...i thought i would ask that i didnt have to check in online for my flight and my response was "ahhhh no because that company no longer exists"!!!!!!!!!!! so i had no flight to athens! after a call to mum and dad they soon sorted me out as there was no internet in use...which led to my next problem...how will i find a hotel!?!? so long story short is we slept at the airport (on the cosy marble floor) and my flight is now 24 hours later. im now in a lovely hotel in Bari as i thought i deserved a few creature comforts after being in a tiny cabin all wee, not sleeping on friday night, and sleeping on an airport floor on sunday night.

so im off to athens tomorrow. meet at the hotel at 7:30pm to start my greek island hopping contiki. hence i may not be on the internet for the next 2 weeks either.
