Hi everyone.
Thanks for all your questions and sorry I haven't been able to reply quickly. I've been on an island that doesn't have WiFi or any power. Then I caught the bug that went around and was really sick for a few days.
My best day so far is a good question. It's tough because I've had so many amazing days. It has to be on boxing day when I asked Anne Marie to marry me and she said yes!!!
To be honest I haven't seen many weird plants at all. Maybe if I went further into the jungle I would but that's where the snakes live! There are a lot of palm trees and banana trees. I will keep my eyes peeled from now and if I see any I will tell you.
Apart from becoming sick I am good. The weather is hot and im doing lots of things to keep me busy. Cambodia is a really interesting country with lots of things to see. I have visited Angkor Wat which I will write a separate blog about soon.
The monkeys were very cheeky, especially the little ones. I have seen them in a lot of places now. Some monkeys aren't so nice though and have been known to bite people so you have to be careful when getting close to them. If they show you their teeth like one of them did to me then it's a pretty good sign they don't want to be disturbed and to back off. The monkeys didn't steal my stuff. I had a bit of water left and gave one my bottle. He undone the lid, had a sip and then chucked it. I think he was a bit disappointed.
I am eating lots of different food to home. If I'm eating the local food it's a lot of stir fried meat with noodles or rice. Really tasty stuff. Some of it is really hot and spicy and burns my mouth and makes me sweat. I'm so much better at using chop sticks now than when I first arrived in Asia! Instead of having toast and jam for breakfast the local people have noodle soup. So when I'm in a place with not very many western people around I have to have that too. When I'm in a tourist area I do like to have a big burger or something like that to remind me of home. In Cambodia people catch and eat crickets. I visited a school that I'll talk about in another blog. There are people outside the school selling crickets and the children come running out at the end of the day to buy them. Just like you lot would do when eating sweets! I tried some, they're very crunchy but if they are cooked with the right spices are actually tasty. I also tried some snake. I closed my eyes and pretended it was something else and it actually tasted a bit like chicken. So to answer Mawgans question... I'm eating Street food half the time to save money because it's so cheap and very tasty and restaurant food half the time to eat western food that we get at home.
I fed the elephants bananas. They loved them. I bought 20 bananas and the elephant ate them all no trouble.
Yes it is very hard to write this blog on my phone. I think that you are cheeky like the monkeys for pointing it out. The thing is I have fat thumbs and the space bar and full stop are next to each other so I accidentally press the full stop and my phone doesn't correct it. A lot of the time I am writing whilst on the road travelling. I don't know if any of you have this but I can't read whilst I'm moving because I feel sick. So I'm teaching you a valuable lesson here and proving that you always have to check your work. So before you hand your work in make sure you haven't got any mistakes.
I obviously done my mistakes on purpose just to see if you were on the ball. I'm really impressed that you were :) You all know I never make mistakes don't you - although making mistakes isn't a bad thing either because that means your learning. Like now I've tried to check my work because of my mistakes. I hope you can't spot any now. If you do its because I'm on my phone typing and still a bit poorly!
Take care everyone. Have a good seek at school! See I said seek instead of week. But because I checked my work I saw my mistake. I didn't change it though because I wanted you to see it!

Mr Bradley and class 9 Hi Mr Couch, We would all like to say congratulations to you and Anne-Marie for getting engaged!!! We are all so pleased for you! Tilly: How did the monkey undo the lid? Kian: Out of a scale of 1-10 how cheeky are the monkeys? Ewan: Come back we miss you! Julia: Did the monkey put the lid back on before chucking the bottle? Kye: Did you get your bottle back? Olivia: What have you been drinking all of this time? Grace: How big were the elephants? Hayden: How did you get to Cambodia? Evie W: Get well soon!
Mr Couch Thank you very much everyone. I'm very happy that she said yes. The monkey undone the lid exactly the same way we would. After he undone it he chucked it away before he had a sip. No I didn't get my bottle back Kye because when he found out it was water he threw it down a big drop. So this monkey was a good 9/10 cheeky! Elephants have been revered for centuries in Asia, playing an important role in the continent's culture and religion. They are also play a critical role in maintaining the region's forests. Asian elephants are the continent's largest terrestrial mammals. They can reach 6.4m in length and 3m at the shoulder, and weigh as much as 5 tonnes. They are smaller than African elephants and have proportionally smaller ears, which they keep in constant motion in order to cool themselves. They also have a single 'finger' on the upper lip of their trunks as opposed to African elephants, which have a second one on the lower tip. I flew to Cambodia. I spent 26 days there travelling around the country. Cambodia was a beautiful country. It was very hot though so I have been drinking lots of water to keep myself hydrated. I have just got into Vietnam.
