We attempted a sunrise view of Uluru this morning and got a glimpse before it went behind the clouds.
After breakfast, a trip to the resort shops and cafe the sun had come out and we made some lunch and headed out to Kata Tjuta 'the Olgas'. We did a couple of walks, the first was Walpa Gorge and being a crevice between two high rocks was shady and cool with a little creek and oasis in among the rocks.
The second walk was at the Valley Of The Winds. We did the Karu lookout and worked up a bit of a sweat as it was facing the sun. Three of us continued through to a little creek, it was all downhill so that made the return journey harder work. While we were at the creek we saw a pair of RingNecks at their nest.
After our walk the girls had a swim in an incredibly cold pool back at the park while I did some laundry.
We drove back out for the sunset view of the rock then the girls cooked dinner.
