We awoke this morning to blue skies albeit a bit chilly. There is swathes of mist in the valleys and it really reminds me of home today and part of me yearns to be there but I realize what a marvelous opportunity we have and to suck up the negatives as who knows if it will happen again.
I found out from Cagga that Monny have made it 2 from 2 in the local footy after knocking of Woori Yallock and Upwey - two of the Yarra Valley"s biggest guns in recent history. I would have loved to see Hilly today as he would have saved the top drawer sledges for today. Go Hawks.
I was hoping to go somewhere today but my knee is still very swollen and whilst I am happy to keep going Nurse Tarn has prescribed staying put for at least one more day. The girls don't fussed about another "lazy" day but to me it's plain boring.
In the afternoon Tarn decided we needed supplies as everything closes here on Sundays so we trotted off to "Old Mate" in Viletta for some necessities. Tarn's passenger skills have improved but not enough for a trip to the supermercato in Gallicano apparently.
She has built a nice fire on the BBQ for me (I failed scouts) so I can cook up some lovely local salsicca and melanzanne for our dinner. We even got spuds, gravy powder and tomato sauce from old mate so the Pom can comfort herself with bangers and mash with onion gravy sitting in front of a Tuscan fireplace on a very chilly evening.
Buona sera from a very blowy and chilly San Romano.
P.S - Just found out via BBC TV that Chelsea has beaten Spurs with a late Florent Malouda winner and now only 3 points behind Fergie Utd. The boys are back in town Norm let's just hope the town hasn't shut down already - dare I say Go Gunners (I feel so dirty)
P.P.S - BBC had a special with Marcel Desailly - what a legend.
Ciao
