Max, Pete and Simon go travelling...
Alright guys,
Obviously we are now in New Zealand so the jumpers and fleeces have come out big time! The weather has been pretty good with clear blue skies quite a lot of the time but unfortunately the temperature doesn't seem to have rised above the -10 degree mark (at least it seems that way, probs still warmer than England in Autumn). Since we got here we have looked around Christchurch which managed to fill up the majority of the morning and headed to Kaikora for a spot of Dolphin watching/swimming. Unfortunately we couldn't go out cos of bad weather so we drove up to Picton on the Marlborough Sounds. We have rented a car so having quite a lot of fun with that at the moment but waiting nervously for the first 'incident'! Went fishing on the sounds which was awesome and we all caught a shed loada fish with Sib catching the best prize-a 150cm dogfish shark. Our next stop was then round to a place called Nelson where we have just returned to from a two day hike on the Abel Tasman national park. This was unbelievable with awesome scenery and plenty of dolphins and seals swimming off the coast which we saw on a water taxi. Our plan now is to drive down the west coast of the South Island stopping off at the glaciers en route and then arriving in partytown (Queenstown) middle of next week. Have all managed to have TWO full days off the sauce so probs go out tonight and sample the local nightlife! All in all New Zealand is Beautiful and we are all loving it.
