Have finally left South America which we are all very upset about but I guess the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and plethora of beautiful beaches in Sydney will do as a suitable follow up... We last left you in Mendoza which was excellent as we sampled slightly too much of the local wine (PB fails at his attempt to be dry for more than 1 night!!) hours after MG had a near death experience on tame white water! We also stayed in the best hostel yet with brilliant pool, hamoc and bonus table tennis facilities. Apres Mendoza we crossed over the Argie/Chilean border to Santiago where we stayed for one night and once again sampled the local vino (PB ends up as dribbling mess). Now in Sydney after 19 hours in the air (somehow we took off on 23rd and landed on 25th??), 18 of which MG spends being violently ill in toilet with stewardesses surrounding him and tending to his every need, lucky giffer! Sydney is up there with Rio and B.A as our favourite cities and have already seen most of the local sights, although it was all shut yesterday for easter. Out tonight on a massive piss up so should be interesting. ps. Mr Phillips is up for a little trip to NY on 11th July which should be the day we fly back but think I (PB) and possibly the others will stay an extra week so if you fancy a short and v expensive holiday then get involved! pps. It is my b'day on 13th June and we are going to be in Vegas so if NY doesn't float your boat then a mad few days in LV might be inticing... pps. Happy Birthday Max's Mum (32nd I believe?)
